Navsrijan celebrated the 79th Independence Day with the spirit of patriotism and meaningful tributes presented by its students. The programme highlighted not only India’s freedom struggle but also the inspiring lives of individuals who continue to shape the nation with courage and conviction.
Priya Verma of Grade 7 reflected on Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s powerful slogan, “Freedom is my birthright, and I shall have it.”
Sheetal Katiyar and Shraddha of Grade 8 spoke about the young environmental activist Ridhima Pandey.
Jaya of Grade 9 recited the Hindi poem ‘शंखनाद,’ honouring the sacrifices made during the freedom movement, while Fiza Ahmed of Grade 9 recited a self-composed English poem titled ‘Are We Really Free?’ Her composition celebrated India’s progress and urged unity and compassion.
Kartik Singh and Astha Maurya of Grade 10 spoke about Air Marshal A. P. Singh.
The event concluded with a soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram” (Sujalam Suphalam…), filling the atmosphere with patriotic devotion.
